I mean if you really want to have the discussion, than you could argue that Saka and Tomiyasu were both worse than Havertz.
Both played fine, but Havertz was better, and consistantly making good runs and giving good passes.
But Saka and Tomi are two of the most loved players on this sub, so you won’t hear it. Rightfully so by the way, I love them both as well.
Thing is, Tomi had a stinker for the goal we conceded. He also didn’t do many other things exceptionelly well. Just a solid game, with one major mistake leading to a goal.
Saka was quiet all game, but he had an assist, so I guess that evens out.
Havertz was the reason that our attacking play had some movement towards it. When he got subbed off, the attacking play completely stopped
I think it has mainly to do with the lack of available top managers. If there were replacements available, ETH would be out for sure. But who are you going to replace him with. Potter?
Chelsea have realised that they can’t keep sacking players, no matter how shit the results are this season (unless we are talking about genuine relegation danger).
Crystal palace are doing Crystal palace things, so nothing will change there. The bottem three is as expected. Wolves getting results just in time for them to consider sacking the manager. Silva has enough credit based on the previous 2 seasons to not be in danger.
I genuinly think the one that might be in danger the most could be Howe, because of the ruthlessness of oil clubs. I don’t think anyone is in danger, and I don’t think the Saudis sack Howe, but I imagine that if he gets in the bottem half of the table there might be trouble. Also depending on his cup performances ofcourse
A midfield with Caicedo, Rice and Odegaard would be incredible.
Caicedo had a rough start to life at Chelsea, but he’s getting better and you can see the quality he has.
He isn’t underpeforming and the talent is definitly there, but his decision making is shocking in my opinion. And I don’t think it’s a case of that he doesn’t see it, its just that he is incredibly selfish.
Yesterday in the first half I think there was a moment where he came barreling down the right with the ball in his feet. He had an option in Reece james overlapping, and an even better option in Gallagher at the edge of the penalty area, compeltely free. Instead he chose to try and attempt to shoot the ball through 2 or 3 City players for his trademark goal.
There were several moments like that where he really should have passed instead of going for his own glory. Will be curious to see how more senior players like Nkunku will handle his egoism.
Incredibly important match for Feyenoord aswell, since PSV just can’t seem to stop winning.
Difference is that we practially won all our games with Nketiah up front when Jesus was injured. This year we have not managed that.
So why aren’t they more obsessed with Antony, Mudryk, Enzo Fernandez, Lavia, Nunes hell you can even add Grealish to this list nowadays.
They are aiming for Havertz, when there are more expensive players performing worse.
One suspension and injury of two of their best players should be added.
De Bruyne and Ake are instrumental as well to City’s success, they are only more easily replaced.
Quality of opposition should be taking in consideration imo
Suprised that Roony isn’t on here. Instrumental in yesterdays victory vs United
It’s crazy that you can make 4 different back lines with those 4 players, without them playing in a position that they aren’t comfotable in.
Tomi - White - Gabriel - Kiwior

White - Kiwior - Gabriel - Tomi
White - Tomi - Gabriel - Kiwior
Gabriel probably can play at RCB or LB as well, but he hasn’t really done so IIRC
I read this as ‘Felt some kids’ and I was terrified
When Pepe was putting up those numbers, he got fucking hammered
Hot take right here
Took me a while before I realised that you were talking about our brazilian winger Marquinhos, on loan for Nantes
He’s being left alone 100%. Tomi made some forward runs in the early stages, but other than that he has been 3v1 at least for the whole game.
Because he is biased as fuck. Clear pen, and another clear pen denied a few minutes later. Ref was on crack
Has to be trolling lmao.
But yea, Liverpool lose Salah and Endo, possibly Matip aswell? Not sure if he still plays for his national team or that he retired.
Arsenal will lose Partey, which we have done for the whole season anyway, Elneny (who is just getting fit) and Tomiyasu (who has been very important for us.
Not ideal, but could be worse
