M2 is pretty cool. You are getting ton of power and performance for the price. S58 engine is insane built with forged components. You are getting pretty luxury interior. As far as design goes it’s different and so people will have different opinions but I think it’s cool instead of repeating same thing over and over. This will potentially last M car with pure ICE since we already know M5 is going hybrid and like same next gen M3/4 will follow.

This exact scenario was reported on G80 M3CX on Bimmerpost thread. In that case “wife” called and said engine overheat warning came on. So it sounds like in your case it wasn’t pushed as hard to cause engine to overheat or anything like that.

I doubt there is any damage. S58 has forged components. It’s incredible strong set up.

The placement of M badges on everything is ridiculous these days. I own a true M car. But when explaining to people it’s crazy. I have people constantly tell me oh yea mine is M car too.
