Was rear-ended a couple weeks ago by a drunk who was speeding and weaving through traffic. Spun 180 degrees across 5 lanes of highway into the right shoulder. Insurance payout is fair considering it’s 16 years old and has over 200K on the clock. I’m a bit peeved since I had just replaced injectors, the fuel pump, and mangled my hands replacing the turbo/downpipe exhaust gaskets.

Well the car’s lived a life. My sister’s E46 got totalled by a geriatric in a Tesla when it hit around 205k miles
That sucks my friend, glad you were able to walk away, physically ok.
My e46 M3 got totaled when I was rear ended by a Titanic sized Lexus SUV driven by someone on their phone. It shoved me under the car in front of me that was being driven by some complete drunk.
My take away from the experience was, between phones and intoxicants, I don’t stand a chance out here.
