Back in like 2018-2020 this sub was obsessed with at the time AFCW player Danielle van de Donk because she’s super good looking. Every post she was referenced in had guys on this sub thirsting over her in the comments.
Eventually the sub collectively decided to stop with it because it was a bit weird. People were down BAD bro.
These days the posts about the Woman’s team here are a lot more normal, only the occasional praise for Leah Williamson’s looks get through, and it’s generally more respectful than the van de Donk days.
I just randomly remembered all the old Danielle ‘Baddie’ van de Donk comments/posts on this sub 😭
Not a new observation but Kiwior is insanely good looking. Thought I was looking at Chico Lachowski when he was waiting to be subbed on.
All the Newcastle United posts, tifos, commentary that use the whole “howay the lads” and “cans” sayings are so dead.
You’ve sold your dignity. You don’t get to be the likeable, ‘propa northern english’ underdog club anymore. You’re a Saudi owned super club now, you get to win lots of games, that’s the trade you make. The whole Geordie aesthetic is just hollow now.
At least Chelsea was a fitting club and area of London to be taken over by a Russian oligarch. They were already villains, and owned it.
What’s with all these United fans on twitter twerking for Arsenal?
Swear just a week ago it was Odegaard v Bruno debates, now all I’m seeing is all the big United accounts doing Saliba/Saka/Arteta/Ben White propaganda.
There is absolutely no reason for European nations to be playing any friendlies in the year 2023.
I don’t care if it’s some exhibition match, tradition, or the ‘super copa Finalissima cup shield final’, there’s just no reason for it when teams already have nations league and tournament qualifiers.
For non-European nations, especially those consisting of players whose clubs aren’t playing every 3 days, friendlies are fine. But even then they should only be occasional when there really is a huge gap in the calendar.
That number feels…low?
Assuming most players that come through the club score at least one goal at the Emirates, over the course of 17 years, I would’ve thought it’d be more like 125-150. Idk.
