Ramsdale can’t control his emotions. Notice when Raya is in goal that the team always remains composed and calm. This is the other huge factor that nobody talks about.

Ok but they are going to lose
You think Luton will get a draw? What?
Teams change, opposing teams catch on. This is basically saying we should play exactly how we did last year or something must be wrong. Its called evolution, progression, learning. We should just remain the same? Ridiculous.
How many times does this exact question get asked every year? Do people sit there and think “omg I just thought of the best most original question to ask Arsenal fans, how has nobody thought to ask this before? I’m a fucking genius.”?
Doesn’t anyone else think it’s a bit weird how cheap Haaland and Alvarez were for City?
The media are talking Chelsea up and trying to bring them up to our level and talk a Chelsea win into existence. Ignore it. “But our underlying numbers against relegation fodder mean we’re going to create chances”. Even if you do manage to get anywhere near the goal against the best defence in the league, who’s finishing them? Obviously we can’t underestimate any team, but please. We should be winning this comfortably.
I get what you’re saying but its fine margins in football, especially at the top. If Raya is even just a little bit better and adjusts the way we play slightly in our favour, then he has to be first choice. I think what people are finding so conflicting about this is that Ramsdale is so relatable, he’s just like a fan on the pitch, so maybe its that we feel less connected to the team, even though we’re winning just as much if not more. For me Raya is more of a calming prescence at the back despite the first half against City. And I think Arteta feels the same. Ramsdale’s passion could sometimes be his downfall, making the atmosphere more hostile than it needs to be. What City do is keep the opposition subdued and slowly take the game away from them and before you know it they’ve won and the opponents didn’t have a chance, they never give them hope. Ramsdale inadvertently makes games more open by geeing everyone up, then mistakes happen because actions aren’t deliberate and calm.
I do think our perception of a lot of Wenger era defenders is warped by what our playstyle was, which was basically “everyone bomb forward and leave the defenders completely fucking helpless”, unless you were exceptional at defending you looked clueless in a Wenger team
Glory hunter
I think teams should seriously go on strike, this is ludicrous. Withdraw from the league, make a new league. Let Newcastle and City have it
