Aaron Ramsdale’s father has said that his son has “lost his smile” this season after losing his place in the Arsenal team, and admitted he does not know the reason for Mikel Arteta choosing to favour David Raya.

    Has Arteta not had conversations with Aaron? I back Arteta’s decision to upgrade the keeper but I think he already made this mistake with Leno. You should at least have a sit and say you lost the #1 spot, fight for it. But the cold shoulder may be on purpose to nudge towards an eventual sale… who knows.

    Ramsdale also didn’t do himself any favors with his latest performance.

    It’s sad and that but Ramsdale put us in serious trouble against weak opposition, far too many times. Add on the fact he cant stay focused for 90, its easy to see why Arteta has frozen him out.

    This stuff doesn’t help at all, but I too am struggling to see how Raya is any better than Ramsdale. He’s looked sketchy as fuck when under pressure.

      Ramsdale can’t control his emotions. Notice when Raya is in goal that the team always remains composed and calm. This is the other huge factor that nobody talks about.
