What’s the point of this? The audio isn’t going to be a smoking gun against Arteta’s criticisms. They’ll just say ‘we can’t prove the ball was in or out’ and ‘we can’t get an angle to see if the goal scorer is offside’. In terms of referee communication, I’d be far more interested in hearing what they had to say about Bruno’s violent conduct on Jorginho which by the textbook wording was a red card.

I usually don’t have much to say about Eddie, but I was very surprised that when he came on last night, he was largely unenergetic. I remember right near the end of the game he got the ball on the wing on the near side, and he couldn’t even exploit the fact that he had fresh legs against a tired defender. A surprising lack of pace, that’s for sure. A fresh Martinelli, a young Henry, etc, would have skinned the dude alive

It’s not really viable for us to pick up anyone unless their deal is close to ending like Rice, or that club is trying to offload a tonne of people, like how we got Havertz from Chelsea. If Arsenal went for Paqueta, West Ham would probably reply ‘150 million thanks’.

For sure, and as far as likeable teams in the league go, Villa at least for me is on the upper end. They’re just a real football club, with great history, proper fans, always aspiring to do better.

Well, I think Arsenal would be insane to spend 60-80 million on him to replace Nketiah. I don’t believe there is sufficient evidence that he would make a difference that warrants that financial investment. He might be SLIGHTLY better for us, but I don’t imagine it would be a night and day scenario.
