Marquinhos can hardly get a minute for Nantes, such a failed loan and signing. Why did we pay 3.5m for him?

It was a cheap flyer on a young player. You could steal 3.5m from the club and they probably wouldn’t notice

fans would rather [insert our player, manager, staff, owner] OUT rather than calling out the referees, medias, pundits, commentators.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FWWTPWiXEAEIT6-.jpg this is basically the message/the acknowledgment of everything is against us. but somehow we rather attack ourselves than the enemies outside.

where are the protest, the out Out OUT, the banners against the referees and PGMOL? we could have increase our distance by winning two more matches during the first half of the season before the unmemorable world cup. (russia world cup is better). during when we stll have saliba we could have won more points and leave city behind. but the ref did it again and gave city the chance to win.

the last two game, city and chelsea are disgusting performances from the referees. but where is the outrage? are we just a bunch of cuckolds that takes spits on our faces? 1. harsh penalty, not handball (too close, not on target) 2. studs on the back foot, downwards, clear cut red 3. superman punch, not connected with the ball, barges through jesus and all other players. no penalty given. disgusting. and some of us react like a cuck. cOrReCt DeCisIoN.

please start calling out the referee more. stop consuming the medias and hearing those awful lying pundits, they do not have an objective truth to tell to you, why would you want to hear garbage from someone who doesn’t love arsenal. there are arsenal content out there that you can learn football from like the different knock and nonewthing.

i would not want to waste what we have today and then our efforts and money and progress get derailed by the corrupt referees. let’s do some actions more. write to arsenal, kroenke, players, mikel or anyone in their families and friends to organize something like having another meeting with pgmol, protest for fair play, consistent refereeing.

How will the new champions league format work with presumably the Premier League will get an additional spot? Would 5th place essentially be another champions league spot, and 6th will now be the Europa league spot?

Christ our fans are spoiled nowadays. We’re definitely not firing or playing our best football but I’m seeing people writing off players like Odegaard. The form will come back it’s an adjustment period and we still haven’t lost a league match ffs.

Just some random Sunday thoughts on a plane

    1. We are not city. Arteta is not pep. I think some of the standards set by fans in this subreddit are expecting us to play as well as them. I say that tongue in cheek in a way since we are unbeaten and beat city. But I think we are a team in transition.

    2. Rice is obviously phenomenal. One of the best midfield players individually I’ve seen. But I think it’s clear that he’s not quite gelled into the team make up yet. Rice is doing things that are individually brilliant and it’s literally picking up points for us, but the ceiling is higher for us with him I think. He still doesn’t have that incisive pass in him and we miss partey breaking the press on his own.

    3. This leads to the odegaard thing. And why I think after January this team will be firing like crazy. That link up between our 6 and odegaard is crucial to springing saka or switching the point of attack to martinelli to catch them on their weak side. As of right now it’s a bit ponderous and easy to react to.

    4. But the inclusion of havertz and Tomi as wild cards has allowed us to compensate for it.

    5. It seems to me that arteta has prioritized a defense first, possession first mentality. Martinelli takes his man on less, saka takes his man on less, white overlaps less, odegaard plays through balls less, less crosses, more dead ball corner situations. This leads to more control of the game and then arteta makes late subs to try and pull a goal out.

    6. However, is this because of our opposition? We have had one of the hardest schedules so far. So are we weathering a storm and ensuring we pick up as many points as possible without giving up much? We only seemed to try something different tactically against city. So it’s hard to say how tailored arteta is getting against each team.

    7. Sevilla is going to be super interesting to me because not playing partey against Chelsea felt like a huge gamble to me. My personal hope was that arteta is using his depth across the board (no partey, limited havertz and Tomi, no Vieira on the bench) to really go after a win Tuesday. I could see him playing partey 90 there unless there’s an injury.

Anyway this was just to help get me through my flight.

Following up on u/sjokoladenam’s findings about a certain user. because I have a bit of a free time.

If redditcommentsearch is correct, that user first posted a comment 9 months ago, and that was in this subreddit. Before that said user never had any comments, which is odd, since the account made lots of posts on genshin impact or other subreddits that has no connection to football. Basically, from the history of the 7-yo account, the comments about football started 9 months ago.

Since then said user posted regularly on r/PremierLeague to shit on arsenal, saying things like we’re bottlers, etc. and claiming to be a ‘fan’ since 2007.

I checked on r/soccer around what time people mentioned about a certain rob getting banned/deleted, and it was about 1 year ago. Not sure if this is the same person, but so far it’s hard to find opposing evidence.

There was discourse about this at the beginning of the season, but at this point, it’s not an agenda, it’s an objective fact.

I think he can get there, but he has some growing to do in the final 3rd as an 8 to be as effective as we need to knock City off

Don’t want to make it sound like I’m criticizing rice because I’m not. Defensively he’s amazing, but the disguised passes, quick turns out the press to start the attack and spring saka/martinelli, he just does not have that in his locker yet consistently. Yesterday he had a golden chance to immediately play Jesus first time or cut back to ode free in the box and he instead went with an outside the boot shot.

He’s a big part of why we’re not creating anywhere NEAR the amount of chances we were last year, ton of possession in the final third but doing way less substantial things with it.

And it’s more on arteta for trying to shoehorn him there (and buying Havertz who’s also been useless at LCM so far) than Rice’s fault because he obviously didn’t consistently play this far advanced at West ham

      depends on the game.

VS Burnley ball (80% of our games it appears)… pointless playing him as an 8 because we need two attacking mids otherwise MØ just gets marked out the game.

VS everyone else… rice as a box to box 8 is great.

I hope we never play Rice as an 8 again. You have a seriously elite #6 and you want to shoehorn him as an #8… why? There’s Havertz, ESR & Vieira in the squad who can all play there. ~20 mins of rice as a 6, suddenly the entire team plays well & we score 2, its not a coincidence. Chelsea are a good side but the decison to give them similar levels of respect to City, when you know it absolutely kills our offense was crazy.

After their EFL Cup game, Chelsea have Tottenham, City, Newcastle, Brighton, and Utd.

After watching the full game again, they can do some serious work against those teams. It’s a rough schedule but I think they can get draws out of Tottenham, City, and Newcastle.
