So Tottenham has 4-5 starters out and their season is over. We have 4-5 starters out and we’re slightly underperforming.
Feels good man.
We will never get a Saka backup because every time something more important comes up lmao
do Liv have salah backup?
Ben Doak lol
can’t wait for arseburn tomorrow
Wha tñdo you guys think of signing Higo Etikete?
I was hoping we’d play good football this weekend guess not
I was looking at the fixture list in the league before the transfer window opens. Would be nice to get another CM with some legs in January. We have Burnley (H), Brentford (A), Wolves (H), Luton (A), Villa (A), Brighton (H), Liverpool (A), West Ham (H), Fulham (A). Out of those games where having a midfield pairing of Rice/Partey would have been nice is Liverpool and Villa, potentially Brighton but that is at home and we might be able to control it better.
After the window opens, our games where we might want two energetic/defensive midfielders are Liverpool (H), Newcastle (H), Chelsea (H), City (A), Brighton (A), Villa (H), Spurs (A), United (A).
Not sure who we could get or if we have the money. An injury to someone like Joringho as well would mean El Neny coming in potentially, or playing midfield of Rice, Havertz, Odergaard. Which I’m not sure works in the big games.
Trying to manifest K. Thuram I think he ticks most the boxes
Apparently, Serhou Guirassy has a 15m release clause in January. If we’re short on cash, surely he would be a good shout to boost striking options and maybe save a bit of money to pick up a CM in Jan too. Rather than spending 60m+ on Toney. I’ll openly admit I’ve just watched some youtube highlights of him, but for 15m seems well worth the gamble.
Seems like a lethal finisher. He hasn’t played a lot of minutes throughout his career though. He has only played above 1600 minutes 3 seasons in his career. Something I’m missing with him?
I Forget how much Spurs rattles this sub. To me they’ll always be an afterthought
Heh. Sometimes, it’s almost as though they read a copy of “How to be an Arsenal fan for dummies” and then internalised the passage that reads, “Must hate Spurs. Always hate Spurs.”
I have a Facebook memory from Nov 10/12 (Arsenal v Fulham 3-3 draw) asking Why is Arteta taking a PK for Arsenal (he missed in 90+5) lol
Do you think Saka plays tomorrow?
I’m ready to captain him in FPL
The first time I saw Kai Havertz play with courage in an Arsenal shirt was against Newcastle. Billy thinks it’s because he had less time to think. Be it that or be it his underlying hate for Newcastle hope it’s the start. His Sevilla game gave some signs to think it indeed is an upward curve
Saw a video about the ballot system saying it isn’t working and the stadium is dead the season. Also the ash button army too.
Stadium isn’t dead at all but people like the Ashburton army and their mates in the media are pushing it because they’ve lost their block tickets because of it.
The ballot has let more people get tickets than before, the only people upset at this are those who expected special treatment.
Well of course the stadium is dead now, since they claimed to be entirely responsible for creating any atmosphere there was.
I want the truth, is Raya actually better than Ramsdale?
This is situation reminds of when Iker Casillas was dropped for some dude, who wasn’t that good if anyone even remembers that saga.
Casillas 😱 to ramsdale 🤣🤣 c’mon man poor comparisons
After watching Southgate’s interview about his (lack of) selection and call-up decline of players and hearing his reasoning for wanting Reece James (read: experience) in the squad just made me laugh.
His obsession for this lop-sided inclusion of as many RBs as possible is truly baffling.
“The door is always open” (paraphrasing) or “Who would I leave out?” Two contradictory comments which amount to his squad being a closed shop. No consideration for the potential long layoff of some players or testing out different options to compensate.
His excuse for not including Ben White was absolutely pathetic, just like his other excuses for including - or exclusion - of other players.
Would we be playing better and have more points if Xhaka was still with us?
Probably be playing better, not sure if we’d have more points and to be honest Havertz most important thing so far may be just filling in for the multiply injured strikers.
