These four plus Timber, Zinchenko and Kiwior is a unreal pool of talent at a good age as well

A lot of them absolute bargains as well

Zinchenko is the oldest looking 26 year old I’ve ever seen. I swear his kit number throws me off everytime.

He wears the pain of that war, like his leader does. He wears the same clothes casually too, a war uniform, I’m pretty sure. I’ve seen photos of him knocking around in it.

The Timber injury still breaks my heart to this day. I really feel we’d be in a better position if we had him. He gave us depth across the entire back line.

And the talent is not even the defensive part it’s the offensive ability they bring to us. Sure they’ll have a mistake here and there but I feel assured in that

We have come a long way… For your reference, in 2017, we had Paulista, Bellerin, Gibbs, Koscielny, Mustafi, Montreal, Holding, Jenkinson in our Champions League squad.

That was dark times man. My boss at the time also a huge gooner would come into work every Monday so depressed. Our coffee convos would be about how woeful we are. He was staunch Wenger out. I was Wenger in. We would have arguments with him saying people like me are why our club has gone down and that it was time to go for Wenger. Ahhhh… The days…

Cool to have that baseline understood and these lot who have been gassed to high heavens better obliterate what the previous did. I’ve been quite cautious in my expectation because of the deluded fanbase.

I know we joke. But aside from Jenkinson and Mustafi, the rest were pretty passable with Kosc and Monreal being stand outs.

But not world beaters. That’s what we need now.

I love premier league football. Brazilian, French, Japanese and English men just become an absolute unit of solidarity

man tomi has also just been so good recently, especially going forward and in possession, looks comfortable on the ball, not just looking to play it backwards, and yesterday his overlapping was great as well, there was a few moments where martinelli should have passed him the ball on those overlaps, really fucking impressed, really hope he can stay fit

I can see Tomiyasu starting every single UCL game this season. Once we start playing the big boys we absolutely have to have his defensive skills - as much as I love Zinny.

This is off topic, but I (from woke ass "Merica) fuggin love footy in that nobody gives a flying F where you’re from and what your skin looks like. Japan, Brazil, France, England. Nobody cares. Can you perform? Yes. Yes, indeed.
