People who get pissy off of pineapple on pizza are so corny. It’s like level 1 controversy types of foods. We got countries putting spaghetti and squid on pizza.

I have a bigger problem with putting tomato slices on pizzas. They are mostly water so they not only shrivel down to sad little strips but they leave the pizza soggy.

I’m convinced it was never the pineapple which set off their distaste, but rather the shitty ham that comes on hawaiian pizza from some chains.

The shitty ham certainly did not help. Picking off the pineapple left sad in it’s place.

The pineapple being hot alters the taste a bit. I like Hawaiian pizza, but if I make it at home I put room temp pineapple on it after baking instead of baking it with the pizza because I want the tanginess more than the sweetness.

Same here. Some like it since it gives nice sweetness. I don’t care for it.

On pizza it works with some toppings. Chicken hawaii is great for example

It just comes out roasted, browned, and slightly crispy with the pizza. Nothing special for it. I cut the pieces pretty small/thin though. If you want big pieces then I think pre-roasting would be smart

Right part toppings are vegan chicken, corn, bell pepper, broccoli, all fried/tossed with spices™, cheese, and said pineapple. Left part is just cheese. The green stuff on top is cilantro.

Looks like half is just cilantro, cheese, and a tiny sprinkling of pepper flakes, while the other side had that plus pineapple, broccoli, and some sort of roasted potato?

I can get behind the pineapple, though I’d argue that it needs to be grilled. The rest of these nachos seems not very well thought out. Why are we doubling up on the carbs with the potato, everything is cut way too large for nachos, and the flavors don’t go together at all.

Nah, pineapple side has either chunks of chicken or potato as well.
