I had to look this one up. Apparently it signifies a character referenced by serious fans but unknown to others.
Glup Shitto is a fake name used online to refer to returning characters from the Star Wars extended universe in newer mainstream Star Wars media, which are known and praised by hardcore fans but unknown to the more general audience.
I think general audience knows Ensign Ro. I’ll grant you Sonya Gomez or Mr. Homm.
Ro is also not from some extended universe or something. She was a main character in a handful of episodes of the most popular Star Trek show to date.
7 episodes split between season 6 and 7. So, not a regular cast member, but most of her appearances are noteworthy. For better or worse… gestures towards “Rascals”

yeah like Jodo Kast who is a VERY deep take hardcore star wars character reference. And they brought back pretty much everything except Jodo Kast. the Kast name is used in one of the shows (can’t remember which) and is a Mandalorian which is funny because Jodo Kast was NOT a mandalorian but wore Mandalorian armor and pretended to be Boba Fett in order to get better paying Bounty jobs.
Jodo Kast is also my favourite star wars character of all time.
Has Thrawn made it into SW yet? I stopped bothering a while ago…
He was apparently in Ashoka but that show was so awful I never made it far enough to bask in his live action debut.
Oddly enough, his characterization was brilliantly potrayed by Lars Mikkelsen.

Thrawn was the main antagonist of the later seasons of Star Wars Rebels. Interestingly Ruhk made an appearance in the show as well.
Somewhat ironically, Neelix is canonically Star Wars’s Glup Shitto. (/s if it wasn’t obvious)
