Apparently my question was partially invalid anyway, see the reply about maillard vs caramelization.

TIL! So (in general) it goes maillard reaction -> caramelization -> pyrolysis as temperatures increase?
Serious question. When you have a steak, or any piece of meat really, do you try to make sure it doesn’t get an color when it cooks? A lot of what’s happening is the same (heat converting sugars and things into other compounds that our brains like)

61·17 days agoI had a little experience with Debian-based stuff on routers and whatnot going in, but when I finally migrated my main PC to linux I went with an Arch-based distro (cachyos) because the documentation on both projects is fantastic. I was able to get everything set up the way I wanted in a couple of days, with only one reinstall along the way lol.

It was way ahead of it’s time. Think about trying to be a fan of that show in the 90s. You miss one big episode and suddenly you’re completely lost on the story. Streaming/binge watching brought it a lot more fans, myself included.
