So done with Partey, dude has missed half the games since coming here, has the nerve to post a collage picture of him with ‘Arsenal v Sevilla’. I find these pictures cringe. He’s clearly ticked off a lot of fans, turned off comments lol (fans are silly to attack him tbf)
The thing is Partey is probably too aggressive as a 6, but without him we can’t actually seem to create at all. Our lack of progression is very concerning
partey is NOT too aggressive for a 6, if anything when he is at the top of the game he manages to find the balance almost fantastically well. only thing is that he doesn’t have the same engine rice does, but if he did, he would god on a football pitch.
Nah he definitely is. 6’s should be fundamentally very conservative and Partey is way too aggressive in his pass selection
Is there any truth to the Havertz growth spurt during/post Leverkusen?
He gained 3-4 inches. He is still not fully comfortable with his body but his recent sub appearances (mostly Chelsea and City) have been good, he is knocking on the door for another start.
I agree, he’s been really positive. Just hope he can sort his passing out, he under hits them a lot. He’s only young, big improvements to come I reckon.

Seems like Ode’s downturn recently is a combination of a lack of confidence and having to play with a midfield that is different constantly.
From having midfield partners of Havertz and Rice, to Partey and Rice, and now Jorgi and Rice, it seems to be throwing off our captain. Not to mention teams are defending us a lot more stricter than before.
Once we figure out the team, and we’re firing, I’m certain Ode will be back to his best.
Anyone get the impression we’ve been found out?
Last season our inverted fullback system kinda caught everyone off guard. Teams have gotten enough time to figure a response to it and we just don’t dominate the midfield as much as we used to with the quartet of Ode, Partey, Xhaka and Zinchenko.
We’ve had our preferred starting front three for one game, are bedding in 2 new midfielders and haven’t lost. Calm down.

The key word is “alleged.” People’s social media accounts are full of social justice slogans but they’ll let the court of public opinion and social media decide if a man is guilty of a heinous crime. The point is we know NOTHING about his legal woes nor do we know why he isn’t traveling and everyone is freaking out. If he’s guilty, I hope he’s thrown in prison. But, as someone whose actually worked in the criminal justice system, I also understand that the general public knows absolutely nothing about any case even when it’s settled, much less in process. And yes, I know you’re going to respond with, “but so few sexual assault cases go to court, much less end in a conviction.” Very true, but that’s a societal and systemic problem, not a Thomas Partey problem. You improve the system, you don’t ignore it because you’ve decided one man is guilty based on some leaked texts that you have no idea of the veracity of.
