alright, let’s just win
I’m sorry, but this is Arsenal football club. Seaman. Lehmann. Tell your dad to keep quiet and fight for your fucking place, instead of talking to the media every other week.
Let’s see if Ruben Neves is this year’s Joao Felix of the January window.
Zubimendi, and integrate Patino. Extend Jorginho for a year. Move on Partey and Elneny. Leaves a pathway for MLS and Nwaneri to play a role over the next few seasons as well. Don’t know what to do about Fabio and ESR, one of them needs to massively step up this year.
Sevilla didn’t offer much but last night showed me that this defence can go far in the CL. I’d argue that Timber will eventually displace White as well. We just need a bit of a favourable draw, would love RB Leipzig in the next round, before a proper big team in the quarters.
I know we don’t play this way anymore, but we could cook up a nasty mid-to-late Wenger era style 4-2-3-1 with the rotated team tonight:
Jorginho, Elneny double pivot, ESR in the 10, Reiss Trossard Vieira and Eddie up top
Tomiyasu is such an underrated member of Handsome FC, just look at his facial structure man ffs he looks like a japanese movie star that’s playing a role of a soccer player lmao
If Jesus is injured at all, rest him on Saturday. I know that probably means Nketiah starting, but I would love to see Trossard there. Sheffield United will play low block haramball and small spaces will be key. Get me Zinchenko in for 60 mins as well, give Kiwior the West Ham game and then play Tomi for Newcastle away.
Zinchenko could evolve to play as a 6 the way City played Bernardo there against us, or how Rico Lewis plays. Especially once Partey and Jorginho leave, would give us added tactical variety.
Midweek team:
Raya - Tomiyasu - Saliba - Gabriel - White - Rice - Havertz - Odegaard - Trossard - Jesus - Saka
I don’t think we’ll see Partey from the start, but maybe Mikel will surprise. Either way I think Havertz should start.
everyone at liverpool bar Salah and Nunez play hero ball, that’ll be their undoing over the season
Szoboszlai, Diaz and Trent the worst offenders
Trying to make an XI of former Chelsea players who moved to Arsenal
Cech, David Luiz, Gallas, Benayoun, Rice, Jorginho, Havertz, Nketiah, Willian
anyone know an 11th? can be a youth product or an old player
We should play a midfield of Rice-Jorginho-Havertz against Chelsea solely for the ex-Chelsea revenge tour vibes. Eddie up top too.
only slightly joking
I would love RB Leipzig in the RO16, or hopefully Inter win next week and we could get Sociedad. I don’t want to get Porto or an Italian team, even though we’d probably beat them, their away stadium atmosphere is a lot more intense. I’d love Copenhagen, but that would be too easy, want someone with a bit more substance. If we get through, I would love Real Madrid, feel like we could genuinely beat them.
