No Pinas, no party.
No Pinas, no party.
Madrid lost 18 games that season. Incredible really.
Lyon’s run also came in the abridged 2019-20 season so it didn’t feel like a “proper” CL either.
Genuinely have no memory of Villarreal getting to the semis in 2022. Must be early onset Alzheimers or something because I very clearly remember them doing in 2006 but my mind is drawing a complete blank at last year.
Depor getting to the semis in 2003-04 wasn’t much of a shock though. They’d been one of the best teams in Europe for quite a while by then.
Most talented USMNT player.
He will do, yeah. Seems like Southgate wants to stick with a core squad going into the Euros so unless there’s a big injury or he racks up some unbelievable numbers before the end of the season it won’t be until the 2026 WC cycle.
He started the Italy game. Why wouldn’t he be?
Very few people thought he was worth anywhere near that. Definitely raised a lot of eyebrows in the Netherlands.
It’s pretty mad. City got Doku for €35m less and he’s always been rated much higher. Ten Hag must’ve seen things in training with Ajax that nobody else did because apparently United’s scouts had already watched him and thought he wasn’t good enough.
I think United just throw massive money at players to make a statement regardless of whether they are worth the money or would actually fit into their team structure. Di María, Pogba, Cristiano (not a high transfer fee, granted) and Sancho all fit those criteria.
Fair enough but I see people make that exact argument all the time.
Put some respect on Jonny Evans’ back-up’s name.
It’s shit everywhere it’s been used. The argument that it’s only bad in the PL is false. It’s just that the PL is by far the most followed and scrutinised league.
The “correct decisions” argument is evidently bollocks anyway. Just watch any PL broadcast when you’ll get some ex referee claiming that the officials have got a decision right when everyone can see with their eyes he’s talking absolute bollocks. It’s pure gaslighting.
It’s shit. Made the game far worse. Handball is now a complete farce and offsides are a joke.
95% is absolutely shocking considering the time and effort that goes into it. Think about how many decisions a referee has to make in a match. 9/10 are basically clear, cut and dried calls to make so essentially the final 10% of difficult decisions is a coin toss over whether they’re going to get it right or not.
You mean the Video Assistant Referees?
Antony - €5.5m per Eredivisie goal
Honestly, as funny as it is to watch United on the wrong end of it, VAR has got to go. It’s just embarrassing how many massive game changing decisions it’s responsible for ever single week.
I dunno, call me crazy but I think this Neymar might be a bit of a wrong’un, lads.
