It probably gets 95% of the calls right. FIFA says 99.3% but I don’t think so. Still, if it didn’t exist everyone would be crying to implement technology like they did before. Think of all the goals/no goals that have been rightfully overturned. Even if there are some horrible calls sometimes, the good calls outweigh the bad ones.
It’s shit. Made the game far worse. Handball is now a complete farce and offsides are a joke.
95% is absolutely shocking considering the time and effort that goes into it. Think about how many decisions a referee has to make in a match. 9/10 are basically clear, cut and dried calls to make so essentially the final 10% of difficult decisions is a coin toss over whether they’re going to get it right or not.
