Just looked at the Brentford lineup and had to double-take, they’re playing something like a 6-2-2 it seems lol. 4 CB’s, fullbacks listed as wingers. Could be a hilarious game if Brentford shithouse their way to a point

Ain’t that the truth. Philly sports are in the absolute mud right now. The city could benefit from taking the approach that some championship clubs take. Everything is shit and it’s always going to be shit, so just embrace it!
Yeah you guys might be the best comparison, especially in the sense that no one really expected them to make a run. Very curious to see what sort of moves you guys make this summer. Is there a Declan Rice type of move to be made?
I think a lot of the same phenomena are shared between these two sports. The amount of suspense, the fact that any team can win on a given day, the fact that individual efforts can sometimes make the whole difference or just mean absolutely nothing at all. Hard to stomach the failures
Not sure if anyone lurking here is a baseball fan, but I’ve just witnessed the Phillies capitulate in spectacular fashion, very reminiscent of how Arsenal bottled it last year. Both teams had big expectations and kept talking about staying humble and fighting until the end. And then right at the precipice of immortality, both teams crumbled before they could even go toe-to-toe for a title. And the kicker—the big contributing factor to each collapse was a lack of adjustments from the managers
Just now getting over Arsenal, and now here come the Phillies to go do it again. Brutal.
All this to say—It’s been a few months, but this made all the memories from the spring come rushing back. I just hope we’ll learn from the mistakes. Rotate the squad to avoid injuries, maintain defensive intensity, approach the match with poise, and make adjustments mid-game.
So unlucky
KT should’ve been the answer here and it’s so unfortunate that he hasn’t been able to offer what Mikel’s looking for. If you would’ve told me 2 years ago that Monreal was getting 5x the votes that KT is getting on something like this, I’d have thought you’re crazy.
