It’s easily the $3m group. For $5m you get probably the best two players of the lot in Cesc and Ozil, but also two complete wild cards with an always injured Partey, and very inconsistent Ozil. With MØ/Rice/Cazorla you get three players who consistently work hard in every phase of the game and are still exceptionally good on the ball.
I’ll take consistent performance for $3m over a complete gamble for $5m easy.
Arturo Vidal is maybe not a world beater but he was one of the most versatile players in the world in his prime… played as a #10 for Chile, a box-to-box midfielder for Juve, a traditional pivot at Bayern, he was even used at RW at Barça, and played as an emergency CB at various times throughout his career.
So the premier league follows up an incompetent refereeing display with an “independent panel” that’s rigged to back up the incompetent refereeing, in an attempt to placate fans. This is just offensive to me as a fan, legitimately not sure if I can keep watching this trash.
