1 year agoImpractical and probably not true although it has been for years now: a RWD GM car with a pushrod V8.
Also Impractical but absolutely true unless I end up in complete desperate financial ruin somehow: Studebaker. I have a 1950s truck that my great great uncle bought brand new and it’s never been owned outside the family. Something really really serious would have to happen for me to get rid of it, like already raided my retirement savings and have nowhere to turn serious.
It doesn’t matter unless you push it into something. You might want to be real sure you’re actually on flat ground and that where you’re pushing it before doing so will also be flat, or you’ll push it into yourself or something else, probably at real low speed.
Is it smart to do this regularly? I’m not sure I would in random parking lots, but I do it all the time moving stuff in my garage a few inches or feet.
Mechanically? It’s absolutely no issue.
