Despite being less of a fan of Mercedes-Benz (due to their current design language), I’ll probably always own at least an older sports sedan (W204 C250), and convertible (R129 SL) from them.

I will always try to own a full size Australian sedan or wagon. Easily fixable, cheap parts, plentiful parts and always a market for them. Also highly practice too

Nissan/Infiniti. The family got our first Nissan product back in 2016 and we’ve consistently had one since. I worked as a tech in a Nissan dealership for a hot while and even though my current job is set to last longer, I will always identify as a Nissan tech first and foremost

BMW, I’ve loved them since I was a kid, that shark nose 635 and the E30 M3 were dream cars for me as a kid. At this point I’ve owned 5 different 5 series, 3 of the E60, 1 F10, and a G30 - all heavily modified

For now, Subaru. But I feel like they won’t make it past the great EV transition.

Audi, because the nearest dealer is over an hour drive south. And the other Audi dealer is exactly the opposite direction over an hour north. It’s exciting taken an old, broken Audi on one last drive south. Or, get it towed for like 500-1000 dollars.

I like old v8 lexuses. The newer stuff doesn’t really suit me but the old school LS and GS are so nice and cheap to maintain

I’ll dibble and dabble in other car brands as a daily but as a hobby I wish to always possess an older Mitsubishi model from their golden era. I just always loved Mitsubishis as a kid growing up in that era. Few examples include Lancer 1800 GSR Turbo, 8th gen Galant VR4, Mirage Cyborg R, Evolution 1-4 and 9, 3000gt VR4, 2nd gen Eclipses with the 4g63 and the infamous 4th gen Eclipse but purely because for me that model has nostalgic and sentimental value.

Ford for me. Say what you will about them, but you know what you are getting with them. They are easy to work on, or cheap maintenance if you can’t work on them yourself

I’ve always had a BMW in my family from when I was a kid to now having my own (spelled Supra). They’re always fun to drive. Even if they have their problems. And the aftermarket is excellent.

Chevrolet. Specifically a suburban. Nothing beats the practicality when you need to tow heavy loads, and haul people and all their stuff
