They pay their lawyers to shit their pants. You don’t pay that hourly rate if you can’t make a fairly successful person in their own right shit their own silk underpants on command now and again.

Pick the ones that are slam dunks and present them. If you can’t get them, you’re not getting the rest.
I expect Chelsea to eat their sanction before the current season is out. It seems Todd wants to clear the decks and close the door on Roman’s era. It’s clear that 30 points is being floated to see how it lands.
(It’s also clear Everton got 10 so they could scale up the deductions.)
I expect the PL will fail to charge Man City for some time. I feel like they should rip the band-aid off and go ahead and issue their sanctions and let City have to unfuck it rather than delaying. City doesn’t have CAS to run to. Putting City on defense is a stronger position.
If they’re not ready on all 115 charges, there must be a subset that is pretty much a slam dunk. Present those. If you can’t win there, you won’t win the rest. Lest we forget this is a sports league—at some point the violations are too far from the present to even remotely be fair. I have no hate for the fans—they deserve timely accountability and medicine-taking if necessary.
I don’t think it will bother them. 18 clubs are anywhere from alarmed to angry about two competitors having unlimited wealth without consequence financing the competition.
The PL is its members.
Option 3. Stop moderating altogether.
The conflict of interest is mostly hypothetical on Reddit.
It could become very real at MacRumors.
I am not a lawyer or even very educated, nor am I your lawyer or your barely educated internet stranger.
If 10 points is for what seems to be a single charge of breaching the rules, then I guess you look at how many times the rules are breached, and not the total charges made.
Chelsea and Man City would probably be on the level of, I dunno, 50-100 points?
They’ll just take it out of the Google search money.
Yeah, fair.
But we march on!
All money earned as a league is divided equally.
Teams can keep their own money for sponsorships and whatever so it’s still advantageous for the bigger clubs but everything else is divided as a partnership of 20.
I think the NFL do it pretty well:
When replay is invoked;
Referee: “The call on the field is [blah blah blah]. The play is under review.”
[Review happens. Mic is off.]
Referee: “After further review the call on the field:
Referee: [a short explanation of what happened]
It’s so beautiful
The purpose of the rule is to score more goals. That’s it.
The knock-on effect will be less high line defending as defenders will find it harder to step up on the offside trap. This in turn will beget more bunker-type defending, which will drive down scoring and make the game more boring as teams pass the ball around the arc over and over and over again.
I fail to see how scoring .0368143 more goals per game is worth it.
