Fun fact: The starting lineup today with the exception of Son and Hojberg are all players that joined in the past 2 seasons, and if you consider that Bissouma usually starts over PEH then it would be 10/11. Just seems neat

Spurs have an early edge on their top 4 race against Villa, Newcastle and Brighton.

Still think that the title is between Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool.

I think you’re spot on but understandably Spurs fans are celebrating after 9 games. I think Chelsea and United will be in that top 5 race too at some points of the season.

What excuses are people going tk come up with for this now?

Or can we just say spurs are actually really good?

Umm… Look at who they played and how they got some of those wins? They beat the 3 newcomers and Bournemouth, 2 of those (Sheffield Utd, Luton) barely. The Liverpool game was obviously a gifted 2/3 points to them, we will never know that exactly, but fact is they got plenty of help, and still played like shit even vs 9 men and needed a lucky last minute own goal.

Of course they are good, and they got some great games and results as well (I think they did deserve to win more than us in the Emirates too), but it just boggles my mind why people are getting crazy about this as if they were walking the league. Let’s see how they stand after the very tough run of games that’s still awaiting them this year.

I dont think theres a single Spursfan that actually thinks we’ll win it. Luton we won with 10men and even scored the winner while having 10. Wasnt looking bad before Bissouma decided to audition for a Fallon d’floor.

Sheffield United was a completely onesided game where the refs eventuelly failed to stop Spurs from winning. Took a long time to get there that game, but it wasnt a close game whatsoever.

Liverpool obv lucky with the VAR debacle but theres no saying they wouldve gotten anything from the game had it been given, we just dont know how the game wouldve unfolded.

The game I feel we “got away” with is Man United, where the 2nd half was great and win felt deserved because of that, but they shouldve been up 2-0 at halftime if they hadnt missed clear sitters.

When you look at their performances and schedule they have been good but not as amazing as the table suggests. They will for sure be in top 4/5 battle though

Top half side, decent chance we finish top 4 (in London) which would be an improvement on last season!

Do i want Spurs to win it? Not really. But if it becomes a Spurs - City race, its up the Coys as they say.

So exciting to see lots of competition.

… until KDB comes back and Man City drop 1 point from Jan- onwards.
