Millions of American children are (were?) given these in the third grade and yes they all call them that

“Welcome to City 17!”
I love how his last name is pronounced “to share a” and he did, in abundance
Did any other US residents just get a text from cdc’s v-safe program? 👀
Don’t forget the trans and gays! 🙃
163 years without a civil war, it’s been a good run. Note I’m not knocking this effort, but the lines in the sand are being drawn…
I think it’s easy to understand Mastodon, or any federated service, using a metaphor for a country or large place, where you can say “I want to move to X country” but then you have to actually pick a place IN that country to live, like a specific city or rural district. Once you decide on your instance, it’s really not that hard
Congrats, you’ve been played into infighting with the only legitimate opposition to Republicans, very cool 👌
If that’s not illegal already it should be
The problem is that they have been brainwashed by 30 years of right-wing media to convince them to never believe anything Democrats say ever. We could tell them literally everything they want to hear and they would say we’re lying, or nod along and then go vote for the Republican anyway

Friendly reminder that everyone should have one of these seatbelt-cutter-window-hammer things in their glovebox
Bulettes, obviously
Stuff like this makes me want to leave this country, and it’ll only get worse. We’re in for a real diarrhea shitstorm here people
Dems are not standing by, they just ran a whole goddamn election. That they were/are bad at that is not in question. You can be mad at them all you want for losing but don’t act like they didn’t try to warn us and do something about it
Mastodon has a pseudo-algorithm (sort of, unless there’s a better name) in the Search/Explore -> Posts view, which shows you posts that are trending on your instance. I wonder if Lemmy can come up with something similar based on your instance activity
