You didn’t get a good deal, especially for an auction car. You got the “buy from a dealer” deal.
That being said, crazy how 17k for this car in today’s market is around what they’re listed for. Highly doubt many sell for that price though.

Subaru has a following though, plus this isn’t all time AWD like the Outback is. We also haven’t seen the next gen Outback which should be due in 2026. I’m betting that if this even ends up being an Outback killer, it’ll only do it for a year.
Not to mention that Toyota’s production and inability to order a car really turned me off when looking for a car this year.
I turn mine off. My digital gauge goes batshit crazy and is completely inaccurate if the car is even on battery while refueling.
Wasn’t a fun time when I went from 1/2 tank to 1 bar in the middle of nowhere on a road trip. And yes, I can replicate it every time.
