Just won this 4Runner at cars and bids. I believe I got a nice deal in todays market
Gonna be about 17k total
What do you guys think?
OP, this is a good deal.
Most people are saying it’s a bad deal because they’re comparing your purchase price to pre COVID numbers.
The seller made out.
Made out with OPs mom
Just checked Craigslist, $17-$25 in my area. I think it’s a good deal.
This is a bad deal
If I was going to spend 17k on a 12 year old ho runner with 170k miles… I would have just spent 30k on a 20newer with 60k miles.
Not a bad price considering the market, plus if this car was primarily driven in Georgia (or the south in general) for most of its life, that’s a major bonus.
I bought a Camry with 170k miles and it still ran perfect at 240k Id say you made a good purchase
You didn’t get a good deal, especially for an auction car. You got the “buy from a dealer” deal.
That being said, crazy how 17k for this car in today’s market is around what they’re listed for. Highly doubt many sell for that price though.
Savanah GA is not an ideal place for a car to spend a lot of time in due to the sea salt
Way too expensive, but as long as you’re happy that’s all that matters. It’s your money
People here don’t care to think that new 4Runners start at $40k and that they like to hold their value so good.
Man people want 15k cad for an 07 tundra with 300 k kms where I am…. This seems alright in my market. Shits crazy here.
Mind blowing what 4Runners get on the used market. I’ll never understand it.
The good news is that your 12 year old 4Runner won’t feel dated compared to a 2023. Kind of sad, but true.
Once things normalize, someone will be asking is $5,000 good for my 25yo car with 200,000 miles. Same answer.
