Had a lot of pcm’s go bad on those back in the day. Most of the time it wouldn’t start due to dumping excess fuel in when trying to start (fuel flooding)

If the repair doesn’t fix it, it most likely wasn’t done correctly. Or there is an issue with the level sensor. There is a very tight range of acceptable install height on the seals, and if it isn’t done right they will keep leaking.
1·1 year agoThat sounds like a quote for an engine replacement not just a head. Did it run very low on oil? Making noise?
