Has this issue finally been addressed and actually fixed by Mazda yet? Looking at getting CX5 turbo but don’t wanna deal with constantly checking oil.

What fixes have people had done and did they work? I saw a lot of folks saying they still had the issue after replacing valve stems. Mazda ever figure it out or are they still guessing?

That only impacted some 21 Turbos. And some that are on the list don’t have the issue like mine doesn’t.

It has been fixed but Hiroshima is still annoyingly overfilling the engine oil by at least 1/2 qt. I drained 5.7 from mine on my first change at 1200mi and put 5.1 back in.

Mine still does ,I never documented/recorded how much it would I just know I’ve had to top it up 5-7 times total prior to the tsb that was supposed to take two days (actually ended up being a week and a bit since they noticed something not quite right on my valve train and fixed it. After the tsb it still pops up with the low oil level light but not as much

If the repair doesn’t fix it, it most likely wasn’t done correctly. Or there is an issue with the level sensor. There is a very tight range of acceptable install height on the seals, and if it isn’t done right they will keep leaking.
