I know the media are going to cream their pants over this game but from a footballing point of view it was poor esp from City, defensively and attacking so sloppy so many missed chances. And Spuds well it’s just chaosball all over the pitch. Love City getting shafted by the ref just poetry really

I defintely got pretty lukewarm on my support for England during the so-called ‘golden generation’ of England players, mainly becouse none of them were Arsenal and generally I hated them all, from Cole to Terry to Gerrard to Lampard. I remember Gerrard saying how they treated Walcott when he was taken to the WC when he was 17: basically they all thought he shouldn’t be there, rather than trying to nurture a young talent and get the best from him. Walcott didn’t play and I always felt it was because of the pushback from senior players.
Henry or Wright would just bang them in and Bergkamp would grave anyside.
