A federal judge in Idaho temporarily blocked a state ban on gender-affirming care for transgender minors this week, just days before the law was set to take effect in the New Year.
Idaho is one of the worst states I’ve visited. I’m glad that their government got shafted and that the trans people living there can get access to the care they need. Now, they need to get shafted with their abortion ban too!
Mostly the government and hardcore religious folk, yeah. I would agree that the northern parts of the state are beautiful though. The southern part of the state is a little too deserty for my tastes.

What about it in particular?
I can’t stand the politics in Idaho but it’s a beautiful state with a (largely) sour population of religious idiots.

That’s fair! I’ve really only traveled from Coeur d’Alene and above.
Never been to Idaho but I saw this article recently about how their education systems are a disgrace: https://www.propublica.org/article/idaho-students-educators-show-us-effects-of-underfunded-schools
