This shows how unfair the world of football is, Everton are a poor smaller club so the FA can punch down on them as they please. Whereas the top clubs are given special treatment and allowed to bend the rules, can hire the best lawyers and being state owned gives them unlimited power

The limits on spending are designed to enforce the current hierarchy of top teams. If an owner wants to piss their own money away, that’s fine as long as they can afford it without risking their club’s financial future. Everton and Chelsea should receive no punishment, and Man City and Newcastle should have their owners barred from owning the club and forced to sell for an entirely separate reason - nation-states shouldn’t be allowed to own football clubs.

I’m not sure if Newcastle have done anything wrong but Chelsea and City should also be punished far worse especially if 1 small charge is worth -10 points.

I hate that we’re owned by a brutal dictatorship but we haven’t broke any financial rules

Clearly the punishment for Chelsea should be a points deduction for the 16/17 season.

City also haven’t lost any money, just did dodger sponsorship deals with their owners companies which is a lot harder to prove at the end of the day.

Chelsea and Newcastle haven’t been charged? Chelsea have exploited a loop hole in contracts which has now been closed with a change of rules after the fact, so will not be punished. Newcastle I wouldn’t say have broken any rules to be fair, they haven’t gone crazy with money.

City, the lawyers will drag it out and scrutinise every single charge, they will be given the time as law permits to investigate every charge as well.

Everton have suffered under extremely poor ownership and has culminated in what has happened today. Bad investment in the squad and lack of direction. Even when the new owners come in, they seem to be an investment fund of asset strippers who are targeting the new stadium as a venue for profit. It must be awful to see this happen to your football team to be honest.
