This shows how unfair the world of football is, Everton are a poor smaller club so the FA can punch down on them as they please. Whereas the top clubs are given special treatment and allowed to bend the rules, can hire the best lawyers and being state owned gives them unlimited power

    The limits on spending are designed to enforce the current hierarchy of top teams. If an owner wants to piss their own money away, that’s fine as long as they can afford it without risking their club’s financial future. Everton and Chelsea should receive no punishment, and Man City and Newcastle should have their owners barred from owning the club and forced to sell for an entirely separate reason - nation-states shouldn’t be allowed to own football clubs.
