All in the title. In discussion with a few friends, I mentioned that I was rooting for Liverpool in '05 in the CL final against AC Milan, and people were surprised… it seems this is not as common as I thought.

So, what’s your attidute towards your clubs’ local rivals when they are in continental competitions?

    Not really.

    I’m a Man United fan and it would take something special for me to cheer for Chelsea, Arsenal, City or Liverpool in Europe. Spurs I’m meh on, but do have more of a soft spot for the likes of Brighton, Villa, West Ham, Everton, Newcastle (for now), and all the other mid-to-lower-tier teams back in the day (Bolton, Borough, Fulham, Swansea etc).

    ONE exception being the second half of the 2005 Champions League final. I’ll admit I was pulling for Liverpool by the end of that, it was just so crazy!
