Dear fellow SD users,

A trivial, point-blank question. Are you going to upgrade?

As I have the (former) top-of-the-line and non-modded model, I wonder if the improvements of the OLED version justify the price. I believe they do, especially in the long run. What’s your take? Will you hold on what you have or bite the bullet?

    I would be devaluing it extremely, since I won’t be getting much in resale value on the second hand market. I’d basically throw away 300 euros for simply using it a couple of months.

    Used SteamDecks still cost about 300–400€?

      Much less even.

      The top LCD model goes for less than €400 on the second hand market. Which is logical, since Steam’s own refurbished top LCD model can be gotten for €379. If I were buying an LCD, I’d really want my second hand version to be about 50 to 100 euros less and it looks like second hand buyers know that.
