People complain about Havertz haters but the bar is genuinely on the floor for him comparted to other players.

Aside from his cameo against Chelsea hit best performances have been “ok”

Funnily enough Partey was the Cazorla replacement we needed (even if they don’t seem the same player, their profiles are the same)

A press resistant progressive passer and now we need another. Otherwise we’ll go back to what we were between 2017-2021, I can’t believe we spent £175m and didn’t address it, Barca would of snapped our hands off if we dropped £90m for FDJ

Mbappe on fraud watch. If he is a real player he will join Arsenal and break Henry’s records.

I think for a good while, we have to get used to chaos or ugly football, until injured players come back or we do something in January.

I really hate how Havertz is scapegoated by literally everyone for a poor result, yes I don’t deny that we seriously overpaid but he’s been legit decent.

out of boredom I am watching the United CL game. I started right before the red card. The announcers are complaining that VAR is “turning it into a computer game” in the words of Brendan Rodgers (whose team got carded in competition). Then one of them turns around and says “well there is a lot of blood on his ankle. when you think about it he could easily have snapped his ankle there. I guess it all comes down to what you want, doesnt it.”

player safety is so far down the llst of concerns, I think precisely because we have been very lucky and the reffing has somehow kept many really bad injuries from happening. but maybe people will sober up when it happens again and someone is out for a year or can never play again.

Can someone please help me understand: Why can’t Trossard play in the midfield role they keep trying to force Havertz into? He’s an amazing playmaker, skilled on the ball. Is he a liability defensively? Doesn’t have the conditioning? Poor awareness/too many mistakes from vulnerable positions?

We don’t need somebody to put the entire team on their shoulders, Xhaka last year was consistently solid and that was all we needed. Why can’t we let Rice anchor the middle of the field and let Odeegard and Trossard create from an offensive mid role?

once havertz remembers how to shoot again, it’s over for yall. can’t convince me the lack of g/a isn’t the main reason he is brought out for whippings after every game.

why though we need to be whipping players after the last game, i don’t know.

Nah. He does nothing but play super safe simple balls that do nothing. He’s a rice cracker, technically it’s food but you’ll never get fat because there’s fuck all to it.

If you had to pick one between this team beats Sevilla in an EL final and Real Madrid in a CL final

Haaland is up there but yes, it’s rare that a big money move for an English player works out well straight away.

Grealish took a full season to come good and even now he’s back on the outer.
