Markets price for cost. China prices for control. The risk of a rare earths cutoff is asymmetric, and the financing to rebuild American supply should be too.

    More art of the deal from diaper Donny. Pisses off his trade partners before securing new ones. Then he pisses off the other suppliers basically isolating the US. Then…then he starts a war and… Creates a huge demand

      I was watching the daily show’s recap of the Iran War when trump said, “we have plenty of ammunition, we can go on forever.” This was before we all found it that we are running out of ammunition. Every statement is opposite statement.

      The conservative long game is to isolate the US from the rest of the world. They believe that capitalism and the wealth that it protects will be enough to buy anything in the world.

      They don’t realize that countries will get pissed and can simply refuse to sell to us.

    This is probably a controversial and unpopular opinion but think we will be digging up landfills at a certain point. And in hindsight probably see people that didn’t recycle in a different light. While I was surprised and also not surprised that the local electronics recycling plant was just selling it to other countries.
