Proof that a housecat absolutely should be able to solo a level 1 party.
A cat can’t even take on a common villager. And a single level 1 character should be killing at least a couple villager, unless they roll bad.
It’s a joke from 3.5. Cats are hard to hit due to their size modifier. Commoners have 4hp, minimum damage is 1. Cat has to hit 4 times to kill, commoner has to hit once but the math is not in their favor.
Fun fact: RAW a cat can’t jump in 5E (2014) because they have a negative strength modifier.
Unless one of them maxed out their handle animal skill. A housecat would require a skill of one or two at the most.

Is it Molino? I’m having trouble looking up their other works but I don’t want to claim I know better after two searches.

The tumblr version of this blog seems to have posted Walter Molino stuff as far back as 2018, so I’m inclined to say not slop.
It’s a rabbit hole, that’s for sure. Reckon it’s legit though, no idea why.
