I’m not surprised about the (twitter) rumours we’re in for a CB. With Cedric obviously leaving, I think this is what Arteta sees. With 4 competitions, we need to be able to handle fatigue and 2/3 injuries without a sacrifice in our style of play. Helps massively that Tomi, Timber and White can play more than one position at the level he wants. Right now, an injury to Saliba + White/Tomi is game over. In fact, an injury to Saliba alone will mean both White and Tomi will have to play almost every single minute which makes me uneasy considering how that’s impacted them in the past.

Kivior can play a couple of positions as well. I reckon we will go for another very versatile Giant fullbackish centre back like White
Were definitely missing one profile based on Arteta’s messaging from team selections. Basically a right inversion option or a left sided Ben white (timber can do both, but obvs not at the same time, so we have freedom to choose one or the other based on the market options)
We all know Cedric won’t leave. Another 4 year contract is probably on the table lol
