We aren’t creating chances, our buildup and chance creation is poor compared to last season. The strikers aren’t to blame apart from that one miss Jesus had against spurs
Their decision making is horrible, particularly Nketiah. Very selfish and technically below average.
Jesus spends 60% of the game bitching to the referee about everything. Also wanders around to receive the ball which limits our options in the opposition box.
You can have your gripes with them sure but they currently aren’t the problem we are having, getting Toney or whoever wouldn’t improve our build up or create chances. We couldn’t pass through Chelski’s lines for 70 mins
100% this. Unless Partey plays, or Arteta modifies our tactical setup, opponents’ go-to strategy vs us is going to be crowding us out in midfield this season. It is quite effective at shutting our attack down, as things stand.
Might need a double-pivot plan B.
Exactly this, we are missing partey so badly and Zinny isn’t playing as well as he was on the ball last season.
Not a bad shout, my thoughts are to try ESR in mid, to have someone who can turn and drive up the pitch himself.
