Donald Trump’s Department of Justice says a recent shooting near the White House underscores the “critical need” for the president’s $400 million ballroom project as government lawyers demand a federal judge lift an order blocking its construction.
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche sprinted to federal court one day after a gunman opened fire near a security checkpoint and struck a bystander. The suspect, 21-year-old Nasire Best, was fatally shot by Secret Service officers.
Trump was inside the White House at the time and unharmed, but the proposed ballroom would provide a “SAFE HAVEN” from would-be attackers in the future, according to Sunday night’s Truth Social-inspired filing from the Justice Department.
Any excuse to get what they want. I hope ppl are playing attention and getting better at noticing this behavior in the people in their own lives.

This reminds me of that one bit from Dark Knight Rises where its revealed that Bane and his crew (disguised as construction workers) have been pouring cement laced with explosives all over the extremely corrupt city of Gotham. I just had an idea for a totally fictitious short story about a president who keeps pressing hard for new ballroom, but it’s actually just a ruse for a new state-of-the-art top secret bunker that is being built underneath it. Anyways, this absolutely fictional president needs this ballroom/bunker because they’re not planning on leaving office after their second term, and their plan is to wait out the impending civil war from there. This could be a fun story to write, but I’m a little worried that it’s too far-fetched.
So a Civil War prequel?
They probably learned from the ending of that movie that they need a safer bunker.

Someone was shot in my street the other day. Can I get a ballroom too?
The white house is built on a steel frame. The wood is a facade. The mansion is surrounded by fences and the secret service. The mansion sits in the middle of 18 acres of land, surrounded by other buildings. The basement is 2 stories.
But sure, only a ballroom will keep the president safe.
Not to mention that the security checkpoint worked, invalidating the entire argument.
I can’t wait until that fuck is dead. Ill celebrate it.
