Have a feeling that if Timber were fit, Zinchenko wouldn’t be starting games.
I say that as someone who massively rates Zinchenko and think he’s world class at what he does on the offensive.
I think this season he’s been caught in a bit of no man’s lands due to Xhaka not being there to cover that position when he goes on an adventure. Havertz or whoever doesn’t do that and isn’t being asked to (something I think Odegaard weirdly is sort of being asked to do on the other side a bit).
good job spotting that Xhaka being out is making Zinchenkos game worse
He’s probably gonna get bodied anyway, but playing Zinny at midfield might work. It worked for him at Ukraine NT.
He can invert to left 8 ahead of rice/partey or whatever duo, as we did vs city and is especially noticeable when tomi plays that position
