Whilst still early days, sadly, I see no way Rambo stays beyond next season if we keep Raya. He’s too good to be a bench keeper.
Pretty sure that’s a good situation to actually play it away first time. What’s wrong with saying the guy was a wreck in the first half?
It’s OK, he got lucky, we don’t need to pretend it was good or part of the plan. Mikel likes people to play in a way that maximizes control. That’s all good, but that doesn’t mean that he wants his GK to make the wrong decision and gift goals.
He is doing what he is instructed to do. Arteta doesn’t want us blindly hoofing the ball up the pitch
There are other teams in the tournament. 4th or 5th best England player means he wasn’t one of the best players in the tournament.
Regardless of that I don’t think he is good enough for an elite side currently and needs to e playing regularly for his own development.
He was one of the best players at the u21 last tournament
I watched every England game and strongly disagree with that
There were at least 2 or 3 English players who were much better than him during that tournament
Haven’t seen this comment yet, so I’ll say it: the blocked shot from Alvarez stems from Gabriel underhitting the backpass to Raya, not from anything that Raya did. He could’ve played it away first time, but that’s what Arteta specifically said post-match he did not want to happen.
People like Ramsdale and Smith Rowe and are experiencing dissonance over the fact that the guy (Arteta) who took us to the dance has his own ideas about what will take us forward.
I prefer Raya to Ramsdale so far. If he doesn’t do it Ramsdale may get his chance or maybe we will go for someone else.
This the game.

Yea they are good enough for top 4 club but not for challenging title or cl.
Yet Eddie and Ramsdale both literally contributed in quite big ways for a club that literally challenged for a title
Too good to be a bench keeper but not good enough to be first keeper for a title challenging team. It depends on what he wants.
They just beat PSG 4-1.
So because someone disagrees with you they “definitely didn’t watch it”.
He is a 23 year old playing u21 football so should be dominating but he didn’t. Most non-Arsenal fans have him being one of Englands least impressive players over the tournament
Pepe got plenty of GC 2 years ago. Should we bring him back?
I don’t care about peformances from 2 yeaers ago I care about how good a player is now and after watching him look very average for England u21s I am not convinced he is good enough for a title contender
If we are being ruthless then Havertz shouldn’t be starting for us in midfield over Smith Rowe.
I am starting to see why Raya took his place but I don’t think it’s necessarily over for Ramsdale yet. He is pretty young, has the drive, the gap between him and Raya isn’t insurmountable
