Haven’t seen this comment yet, so I’ll say it: the blocked shot from Alvarez stems from Gabriel underhitting the backpass to Raya, not from anything that Raya did. He could’ve played it away first time, but that’s what Arteta specifically said post-match he did not want to happen.
Name a more iconic duo than Neville spouting narrative and it having no factual basis. This is just this weeks “Corner kicks are taking too long” even though they were lower than the league average.
He’s also the player that was targeted to be pulled out of position by Marti and then Tomi. So it makes sense that he’s extra frustrated with himself because of how the play developed and his part in it
