Not knowing many specifics about libertarianism, I did some reading today on the policies of the Libertarian Party of Canada (https://www.libertarian.ca/statement_of_policy), more relevant to me and I thought a fair representation (let me know if not true). Man this stuff is so full of holes I couldn’t stop shaking my head. Now I completely appreciate the desire of those involved to come up with a more just society, but you guys are going to get owned by the many exploiters on this earth. I brought up a few points yesterday that are ones I still wondered about during my reading but you didn’t really respond to any of them. You said you disagree with GOP/Dem policy but that you don’t mind engaging. So what’s up.

Well, people are allowed to make money, as long as they are not cheating others to do so. That’s how we get better goods and services at better prices – free market competition. Normally when the government gets involved in something (like your growing tomatoes example), their intervention adds additional expense to the final product. As long as no party is being coerced, let people figure it out on their own without the government.

You mentioned a “closed system”. I interpreted that as one free from government intervention. I think most libertarians would support that.
