Wow, the razor felt great. Smooth and gentle. Just ignore that little thing on my cheek.

This toner has always been slightly painful to use which is surprising looking at the ingredients. Hamamelis Virginiana (With Hazel) Extract, Purified Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Polysorbate 20, Fragrance, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol (and) Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate. The soap never gave me frag burn (that I remember), so maybe it’s the witch hazel? It’s short lived, whatever it is. Like an alcohol splash, but without alcohol.

I can only speak for myself, but no. I just recognize an extremist when I see it.

Switched the blade over into the Red Tip. I’ve heard people say this razor is aggressive, but mine is not. It’s pretty efficient, though. It’s a nice razor and I enjoy it.

Welp, Catie’s Bubbles Premium base is blowing my mind. I have no idea what sort of magic is involved in this, but it’s incredible. I look at the ingredients and nothing stands out as “special”, but boy does it work.

First go with Catie’s Bubbles Premium base – and I don’t know what the heck just happened.

Well, I do… but still. How is this stuff so good? I seriously over-loaded so lathering was a bit of a lengthy process, but by the time I got to the last couple of passes the lather had settled in and was dialed. Fantastic stuff.

Tub kill!

This worked great as a luxury shave, because I really only had enough good lather for a couple of passes, and that’s all I wanted to do tonight.

I planned on finishing this tub this morning before I was reminded about the Shave Against Suicide. So, luxury shave it is.

I got a tub of Catie’s Bubbles 322 in the mail today, so balance is maintained. One in, one out.

The Free Talk Friday threads like this one are a carry-over from Reddit, and the general purpose is for non-shaving related things that you want to talk about or get off your chest.

Anything shaving related is allowed in its own post, but combining all of the SOTDs into daily threads means we don’t clutter up the fediverse with people’s shaves.

That being said, there’s no rule (or at least I don’t think there is… I think I deleted it from the sidebar) saying you can’t post your SOTD outside of the SOTD thread if that’s what you want to do! Have at it.
