Idk maybe people thought it was too basic or trying to attack libertarianism

Ther’s non American libertarians but I think they’re more common in the US

A Libertarian society might lead to some more conservative ideas but I don’t think it’s completely incompatible with progressive ideas, a libertarian doesn’t have an issue with gay marriage etc so I think there’s a clear distinction there

They don’t believe in social conservative ideas though and their other believe don’t really classify as conservative
