The steam controller is already a great controller. I think having two joysticks and two separate trackpads would be overkill on a controller. We merging the trackpads with one joystick and the dpad seems like a great thing for the controller in my opinion we just need valve to bring back the old customization tools that big picture mode had for the steam controller.

I use the steam controller all the time with my deck. Really nice for navigating desktop mode on the TV
