I don’t even know what the statement was, but - in general - i’d love it if sports people, artists and anyone, would not give any political statements AT ALL, while they’re still active.

Ain’t no way, the statement does not divide audences more, and can only worsen the situation among supporters.

While “political” artists’s (RATM, SOAD) statements or stances are kinda understood, they know the risks, or if celebrities are active in solving their people’s situation (Kim K), OK.
