  • Can you please explain how a different display but with the same resolution can affect performance and make your system faster and how it can reduce the need for cooling?

Everything else is the same isn’t it? So how is this possible?

    Because it can’t be.

Unless your old deck was slowed down for some reason, and the new one isn’t, how would the same cpu perform better or emit less heat?

  • Personally, I would like…

… more RAM. I know a gaming console doesn’t necessarily need more than what we already have, but with 32 gigs, I could make the SD my primary computer. That’s the amount I need for my hobby stuff, so :)

… One extra USB-C connector, preferably at the bottom. I noticed that when I use my SD docked, the weight of the cable + the dock pulls it too much. I’m afraid that it puts unnecessary strain on the top connector. A bottom connector would be at a different angle, and probably could handle it better.

I’m not sure about 1080p or a 144Hz display though. It may be an overkill to have such high framerate, and while the larger resolution is nice, I’m not 100% sure it worth it.

(And to be honest I’m a bit surprised about 144 itself. I know it’s a standard, but why not something that’s a multiple of 30, like 90 or 120?)
