131·20 days agoPretty obvious imo. I mean, how would a MAGA find their way intonthe fediverse. Literally impossible, hence satire.
Is this a “the game” situation where if you actually explain anything you lose? Because none of the comments explain what this is about…

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•40% of global ship traffic is simply moving fossil fuels around! Reduction and renewables could make much of this traffic obsoleteEnglish
4·23 days agoI saw some science-entertainment videos. There’s also these rotating “sail” cylinders. Most of it sounded not viable for mass transport and more like PoC or tryout state.

6·23 days agoLol, I didn’t even consider sails.
Perhaps crew could be reduced with some form of automated sails? I dunno most of the terms, but can’t a motor set and unset the sail? Perhaps make the mast retractable and such things.

Europe@feddit.org•Gas forms record 16% of German electricity sources as renewables dropEnglish
10·24 days agoWell, the greens might have started it, but our dear conservative friends shat their pants in 2011. They wholeheartedly agreed with and delivered the nuclear phaseout.
Blaming “environmental parties” alone is unreasonable and not what the facts are, brother.
Yes, the greens obviously would have tried to push the phaseout earlier, had they continued to rule. But afaik everyone got scared after Fukushima. Including the conservatives.
And afaik it still makes sense. If it weren’t for a bunch of clowns making a big fuss (several wars) for literally no reason, we wouldn’t suddenly need emergency nuclear power. We could be transitioning to green energy in peace. But for some reason (it’s egomaniacs, pedophiles and late stage capitalism in general) we can’t have that.

4·24 days agoDo you happen to know how battery or fuel cell ships are doing atm?
There are some, but afaik they weren’t ready for global shipment yet, but more local, due to range.

How do I respond to this^^
Yes, I think we’re all assuming the law came into parliament the regular way. I assumed the “they” are supposed lobbyists who are standing behind and outside the regular entity…
Am I missing something or are you pulling a Nielsen on me? “Coffee?” “Yes, I know.”
